Volunteer at Sentalk

Are you studying on an Education Course?

Do you want to increase your knowledge of SEND?

Sen Talk are looking for suitable volunteers to support with our SEND programmes. As a volunteer, you will be given the opportunity to engage with children and young people on the Autistic Spectrum and other SEND. You will gain practical experience of working with children with additional needs.

Our volunteers are invited to attend our training session to further develop their skills within SEND, covering Speech and Language, Lego Therapy, Occupational Therapy, understanding Challenging Behaviour, Mental Health and working with vulnerable people.

We feel it is important to give trainee teachers the opportunity to develop skills in SEND from practical experience. Not only will you develop your confidence in working with children with SEND, but you will be supporting individuals access much needed support services within the borough. We appreciate any time volunteers can give, and will always strive to provide a well-rounded experience with great opportunities.

Get in touch today if you would like to discuss the volunteers’ programme further. Please email Annaliese at info@sentalk.org
