SEN Explained Workshops
Monthly (Remote)
Our Sen Explained workshops, conducted both in-person and virtually, aim to bridge the knowledge gap for parents, carers, and the wider community. Advocates and professionals lead the seminars and specialist talks with lived experience focusing on day-to-day life for autistic and ADHD individuals.
Our workshops focus on themes identified by a diverse range of stakeholders, including educators, academics, voluntary and statutory sector professionals, families, and the public interested in special educational needs. These themes are identified through regular consultation to reflect the community's needs.
Who leads our workshops?
Our workshops are led by speakers who possess extensive first-hand knowledge and experience in special educational needs. Their expertise is a testament to the quality of the content we aim to share, benefiting not only our families, but also educators, academics, voluntary and statutory sector professionals, and the public, fostering a more comprehensive understanding of SEN.
Coffee Mornings
Monthly (remote)Our coffee morning sessions are not just about a cup of coffee. They are a gateway to a supportive community for parents and carers raising children/young people with ASD, ADHD, and other SEND (special education needs and/or disabilities).
These sessions offer a unique opportunity to meet and connect with other families who share similar life experiences and challenges. The group dynamic is built on mutual support, and each session can be a chance for an informal get-together or a theme-based dialogue, depending on the needs and interests of the participants.
