Volunteer
With Sen TalkVolunteering for any charity can be a rewarding experience and we greatly appreciate every single one of our volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering with us, here you will find some information about our volunteering opportunities.
About Our Opportunities
Each year Sen Talk hosts a variety of voluntary opportunities for people looking to give back to the community, learn more about Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and gain new skills and knowledge for their own personally and professional development.
All our volunteers undergo induction training and are offered regular professional development opportunities to ensure they can fulfil their role confidently and comfortably and that the value of volunteering is reciprocal.
“We appreciate any time volunteers can give and will always strive to provide a well-rounded experience with great opportunities”
What Our Volunteers Have To Say
I learnt how to interact with children with ASD, and learnt how play therapy can build social skills, flexibility and encourage building relationships. Being a part of Sen Talk also showed me how hard life can be for children with ASD in a world that doesn't accommodate their needs. This sparked a passion in me for helping children with ASD and other special educational needs, that I have taken away with me into the rest of my life. I saw how important organisations like Sen Talk are, they fill the gaps of need in society, and give parents a place to talk, and children a place to play, when they would otherwise have nothing
