Overview of course:
The course aims to help professionals develop key understanding in providing a fair and inclusive environment for autistic children and young people. The course will help professionals develop an understanding of neurodiversity and develop a working philosophy that encourages the acceptance of autistic individuals. This course will help delegates gain an understanding of communication differences, and understanding impairment in receptive and expressive speech, social interaction, Repetitive behaviours and routines and difficulties with theory in mind and the impact on the ability to communicate.
Course outcomes:
This course will provide participants with the toolkit and resources to implement specific equality and diversity measures within their setting and extend the knowledge of good SEND practice.
This course is accredited by the CPD Standards office. Delegates can gain CPD points towards professional development schemes.
