SEN Explained Workshops
Monthly (Remote)
Our SEN Explained workshops, conducted both in-person and virtually, aim to bridge the knowledge gap for parents, caregivers, and the wider community. Advocates and professionals lead the seminars and specialist talks with lived experience, focusing on day-to-day life for autistic and ADHD individuals.
Our workshops focus on themes identified by a diverse range of stakeholders, including educators, academics, professionals from the voluntary and statutory sectors, families, and the public interested in special educational needs. These themes are identified through regular consultation to reflect the community's needs.
Concessionary rate: £20 per session
Who leads our workshops?
Our workshops are led by speakers who possess extensive first-hand knowledge and experience in special educational needs. Their expertise is a testament to the quality of the content we aim to share, benefiting not only our families, but also educators, academics, voluntary and statutory sector professionals, and the public, fostering a more comprehensive understanding of SEN.
Better Together Peer Support
Monthly (remote/ face to face)Our coffee morning sessions go beyond just enjoying a cup of coffee. They serve as a gateway to a supportive community for parents and caregivers of Autistic (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) children and young people.
These sessions provide a unique opportunity to meet and connect with families who share similar experiences and challenges. The group dynamic is built on mutual support, and each meeting can be an informal gathering or feature theme-based discussions, depending on the interests and needs of the participants.
Coffee mornings are offered both virtually and in person in Hampshire and South West London. For more information, please get in touch with us at info@sentalk.org.
